Bio

The Dirty Looks are an Atlanta-based rock band rooted in the underground guitar rock of the early 1980s — loud, melodic, and uncompromising. Drawing from the same well as The Replacements, Hoodoo Gurus, The Plimsouls, and Atlanta's own The Producers, the band plays music that feels earned rather than engineered.

George (bass), Jack (drums), Michael (vocals/guitar), Greg (guitar).

The Dirty Looks

A little personal history...

It was the early 80's when Michael and Greg ran around Atlanta and Athens tearing up frat houses with the best underground rock they heard on Album 88 and the Southern bar scene. They were roommates who ignored college and called themselves "Remote Control" and made ends meet with odd jobs and bar gigs for as long as they could keep the lights on. When AOR radio was playing Madonna, these guys were cranking the guitars as loud as allowable.

In 1986, after a session at Channel One Studio (off of Emory University Campus), Michael's song Let's Rodeo hit the airwaves on Album 88 and it ran for months. The requests kept coming and the band kept rolling. Give it a listen and if you remember the song, let us know!
